Junior bridesmaids are young members of the wedding party (aged 9-16) and are more commonly found in European cultures.
They’ll attend all major functions (excluding adult only functions) and fulfill the same responsibilities as senior squad members – at least when they are able to. Junior bridesmaids can wear the same version of the bridesmaid dress or a dress in a similar colour and style. Junior groomsmen can be dressed in the same manner as the groomsmen.
Their parents are expected to pay for their attire (rented or purchased), any accessories required and to provide transportation to and from the various wedding activities and on the wedding day. They generally sit with their parents or at a young adults table for dinner, rather than the head table.
